MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER ARTS CAMP
Drama, art, music, & more!

Join Focus Academy faculty and staff for a fun weeklong summer arts camp designed specifically for students with developmental and/or cognitive disabilities, entering the 6th through 8th grades (or ages 12 to 14). The camp offers a fabulous opportunity to experience unique aspects of the the Focus Academy program, including our integrated Drama Therapy.

Our Summer Arts Camp will provide students with the opportunity to experience the arts in a playful, non-judgmental environment that emphasizes self-expression, creative problem solving, social competence, and relationship building. Participants will be involved in all aspects of the arts including acting, movement, music, visual arts, script development and stagecraft. The program will culminate in a performance conceived and created by the participants – and attended by parents and families!

Our program is supervised by our Clinical Director, a registered drama therapist, and is facilitated by Focus Academy staff who are members of our arts team. Students will need to bring a packed lunch and wear close-toed shoes.
Space is limited! If you’re interested in having your student attend, please download and complete the camp application and submit it with a copy of your student's IEP. You can also download a camp info flyer.
